LinkedIn, websites, email signatures, billboards are some of the reasons our clients have their business portraits taken. Sometimes a corporate headshot is necessary, and other times a business portrait makes more sense. Let’s describe the difference.
A corporate headshot is typically a head and shoulders crop that starts right above the bust line and a few inches over the top of the head. These images are captured with portrait lighting and typically with a studio backdrop. Furthermore, these type of portraits you often see on LinkedIn and in email signatures. Although they seem simple, an impactful corporate headshot is lit and posed to show confidence and power. Below are examples of how you can expect your Monmouth County corporate headshot to look.
Business portraits can be much different than a corporate headshot. A business portrait is typically more elaborate. Often these images have an environmental backdrop. Furthermore, most of the time, they are a three quartered posed composition, which means they are cropped from the knees up. The reason for this is, so the natural background shows more. As a result, often props such as an executive chair will be used in the photograph. However, at the same time, we will use a studio backdrop, but it won’t resemble a traditional corporate headshot. Below are some examples of what your Monmouth County business portraits will resemble.
Furthermore, all of the final images for our Monmouth County business portraits and headshots will be retouched to your specifications. Softening under the eyes, whiter teeth, a thinner face can all be accomplished. Furthermore, we will make sure touched up just right, where it’s not an accurate representation of what you look like in person. Rob will do other types of retouching; he usually knows what people like fixed.
