How it works

How a company headshot day works

A clear plan for the coordinator, a quick and easy experience for everyone else, and consistent photos at the end. Here is what to expect when we photograph your team at your New Jersey office.

Headshot lighting set up in a corporate conference room

Four steps

From first email to finished photos

01

Plan

We agree on the date, the room, the backdrop and the look, and you share a short preparation guide with your team.

02

Schedule

You set the order of the day around meetings and departments, and we work to it so nobody loses an afternoon.

03

Photograph

Rob sets up a full studio in a conference room in about 20 minutes and coaches every person through it.

04

Deliver

The selected portraits are retouched, and you receive a consistent set ready for your website, LinkedIn and directory.

1. Planning

We confirm the headcount, location and date, and agree on the look: backdrop color, office background or a mix. If you already have headshots, send a few so we can match them. Our what to wear guide is ready to forward to your team.

2. The order of the day

You decide how people come through: by department, by floor or as calendars allow. The setup stays in place for the session, so anyone pulled into a meeting can come back later.

3. The day itself

We arrive early and build a full studio in your room in about 20 minutes. Each person gets guided posing and expression coaching, sees their frames on screen, and heads back to work. Group and leadership photos can be added at the end.

4. Retouching and delivery

The selected portraits are professionally retouched, and you receive a consistent set ready for your website, directory and LinkedIn. We confirm delivery timing when we plan the day.

For the coordinator

Your checklist

  • Book a room of about 10 by 12 feet
  • Let the team know the order of the day
  • Forward the what to wear guide
  • Tell building security we are coming
  • Point us to the room, and that is it

Questions

Planning questions

Earlier is better, especially for larger companies and busy seasons. If you are working to a deadline such as a website launch or annual report, tell us when you first get in touch.

A room of about 10 by 12 feet, an outlet, and one point of contact. If your building has visitor, vendor or loading dock requirements, tell us in advance and we will work through them with you.

We can plan a make-up session, photograph them at another office, or see them at the Freehold studio on the same setup.

Either each person picks their own, or one coordinator approves the selections for everyone. We agree on the approach when we plan the day.
