Creative Corporate Headshots
One of the nicest compliments as a corporate headshot and videographer is when companies hire me back year after year. Creative corporate headshots are what these companies want. Furthermore, it’s the icing on the cake when they have me travel out of state to all of their offices so they can keep consistency with their business portraits.
For about eight years, I’ve been capturing creative corporate headshots for Cintas Inc. Cintas uses most of its headshots for internal and social media use. For instance, somebody gets a promotion that promotes that in-house and online and uses the employees’ headshot that I took.
Companies like Cintas photographs everyone in the company regardless of position. The drivers, warehouse workers, executives, receptionists, admins all have an opportunity to have their headshots taken by me, and they all do just that. It’s a great way to increase the company’s morale. I sometimes get on a plane to capture creative corporate headshots, which is always a blast.
Rob Wilson Photography Travels Out of State
I travel all over the Metropolitan area to capture these headshots. I often travel through New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut. These states have multiple locations, and I will be at each location every quarter or every other quarter. Traveling out of state is typical for me; on January 23rd, I’ll be flying to Dallas, TX, to capture video and photography for a drug rehab facility.
The Traveling Photographer Capturing Creative Corporate Headshots
Many companies have me travel instead of hiring someone local because they typically want the style of the portraits to match. Using the same photographer makes this process much more manageable. Furthermore, it’s convenient to them; companies don’t have to look around to hire another photographer.
Time is of the Essence When Capture
Engaging with my subjects is what I like most about being a professional corporate headshot photographer. There isn’t much time to spend on each person with larger companies most of the time. As a result, the photographer needs to know how to work fast and neat. The quickness and effectiveness in developing a rapport are as important as their technical skills.
The Headshots Look Great on LinkedIn – Creative Corporate Headshots
One thing is for sure: since I am connected to many of the HR managers on LinkedIn, I can tell who works at Cintas from their portrait-style when I go on LinkedIn right away. Companies that are active on social media, and have complimentary headshots, use this as a way to brand.
Furthermore, using your headshot in your email signature is an excellent way for people you regularly contact but never see to feel like they know you.
